Service Description

This 40-hour curriculum has been developed by the Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS). Its purpose is to train and teach qualified persons to provide personal care services under Medicaid Waivers. DMAS requirements for Personal Care Aides (PCA) include: - Must be 18 years of age or older; - Must be able to read and write in English to the degree necessary to perform the tasks expected; and - Must be able to perform the tasks required.
