Service Description

We are committed to providing training to the unlicensed person who has an interest in becoming certified or registered to administer medications in Group Homes, Assisted Living Facilities, Adult day-care centers, and/or Residential Children’s homes, utilizing a curriculum as approved by the Virginia Board of Nursing and the Virginia Department of Social Services in accordance with Code of Virginia §54.1-3408. This 32-hour course will include the Insulin, Glucagon, and Diastat Modules. Training is good for 1 year. Cost for Registered Medication Aides (RMA)*: $350 *Prerequisite for RMA Training - must have already been trained as a CNA or PCA/DSA, or have completed an approved Nurse Aide program with certificate as proof.
